Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom applications, add-ons, scripts, and extensions that integrate with Google Workspace tools to address specific business needs.
  • AppSheet and Cloud Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex, data-driven business applications using Google AppSheet. Integrate these solutions with diverse data sources, Google Workspace, and advanced Google Cloud Platform services 
  • Integration: Integrate third-party services and APIs with Google Workspace applications to streamline workflows, automate processes, and enhance collaboration.
  • Customization: Customize and enhance the user experience within Google Workspace applications through user interface modifications, layout adjustments, and interactive elements.
  • Automation: Create and implement automation solutions using Google Workspace APIs and scripting languages (such as Google Apps Script) to optimize routine tasks and processes.
  • Java/Spring Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.)
  • Data Management: Develop data synchronization and migration tools to move data between Google Workspace and other systems while ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations when developing applications and integrations that handle sensitive information.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and glitches related to custom applications and integrations within the Google Workspace environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to gather requirements, plan development efforts, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Documentation: Create documentation for applications, integrations, and codebases to facilitate future maintenance, updates, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest developments in Google Workspace APIs, tools, and technologies to leverage new features and capabilities.

 
Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferred a degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
  • 2+ years plus experience in developing add ons to Google Workspace
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Google Apps Script.
  • Strong understanding of Google Workspace applications and APIs.
  • Familiarity with web development, including front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Familiarity with google cloud platform, cloud computing, RESTful APIs, and data integration.
  • Problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • Communication skills to collaborate effectively within teams and interact with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, especially when it comes to security and data privacy considerations.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code review processes.
