Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented EEG Technician to perform and record electroencephalograms (EEGs) and related neurodiagnostic tests on patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing patients, operating EEG equipment, ensuring accurate test recordings, and assisting physicians in diagnosing neurological disorders such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, and brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform EEG (electroencephalogram) tests and other neurodiagnostic procedures (e.g., Evoked Potentials, Sleep Studies if applicable).
  • Prepare patients for testing by explaining procedures, applying electrodes, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate EEG and related monitoring equipment according to established protocols.
  • Monitor EEG signals during the test and make technical adjustments to ensure accurate data capture.
  • Recognize and eliminate artifacts and ensure the quality of recorded data.
  • Document patient information, test results, and any clinical observations accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in long-term monitoring (LTM), video EEG, or sleep studies (Polysomnography).
  • Familiarity with intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM).
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Experience working in neurology departments or epilepsy monitoring units (EMU).
