Role Summary

The Privacy Operations Analyst is responsible for helping maintain and scale the organizations privacy program through operational excellence. This includes supporting data subject request (DSR) processes, impact assessments, vendor risk, regulatory compliance, and implementing privacy by design in business operations. The role works cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Security, Product, and other teams to ensure privacy requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day privacy operations, such as intake, triaging, processing, and closing of data subject rights requests (access, deletion, portability, etc.).
  • Maintain and update Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) / Data mapping.
  • Assist with Privacy / Data Protection Impact Assessments (PIAs / DPIAs) to evaluate risk and ensure mitigations are implemented.
  • Monitor changes in privacy laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.), assess impact, and help adapt policies / procedures accordingly.
  • Support vendor / third-party risk management: review privacy and data protection clauses, perform due diligence, ensure sub-processors comply.
  • Maintain privacy-related documentation: policies, procedures, templates, guidance documents.
  • Collaborate with Product / Engineering to embed privacy by design in new initiatives / features / systems.
  • Assist in audits and regulatory enquiries: prepare required documentation, respond to questions, remediate identified gaps.
  • Produce periodic reports / metrics on privacy operations: incident trends, request volumes, process efficiency, etc.
  • Provide internal training or awareness programs to employees on privacy best practices and compliance obligations.
