Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Microservices and PostgreSQL to join our remote engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that are scalable, efficient, and reliable.

This is a remote position suited for candidates who are self-motivated, proactive, and can work independently in a distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external use
  • Work extensively with PostgreSQL: schema design, complex queries, indexing, performance tuning
  • Ensure service reliability, scalability, and security
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams
  • Use Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for version control and deployment
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java development
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL: data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
  • Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD tools
  • Strong understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and best practices
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
