Role & responsibilities

  • Lead and support New Product Development (NPD), especially for heat exchangers including chillers and oil coolers.
  • Drive Process Engineering activities including process design, optimization, and validation.
  • Conduct and document PFMEA to identify potential failure modes and implement preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers for technical discussions, specification finalization, and procurement support.
  • Interact with the shop floor to resolve process issues, support trials, and ensure smooth implementation of engineering changes.
  • Analyze production data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Support cost reduction and manpower optimization initiatives through process innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in design reviews, process audits, and root cause analysis for quality issues.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including process flow diagrams, control plans, and work instructions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong experience in Heat Exchanger Design and Manufacturing, especially chillers and oil coolers.
  • Proficiency in Process Engineering, PFMEA, and problem-solving tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data.
  • Hands-on experience in New Product Development and supplier interaction.
  • Familiarity with shop floor operations and production environments.
  • Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Tools & Software:

  • CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • FMEA software or templates
  • MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
