Job Title: Underwriter

Location: Chennai (Work from Office)

Shift Timing: US Shift (Flexible Night Shift)

Experience Required: 3+ Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days

Cab Facility: One-way cab provided

Salary Range: 4 LPA 8 LPA (Based on experience and interview performance)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess mortgage loan applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Conduct pre-underwriting, live underwriting, and credit risk evaluation
  • Analyze applicants financial documents, credit reports, and income statements
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, company policies, and regulations
  • Evaluate loan risk based on the 4 Cs: Capacity, Credit, Cash, and Collateral
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve missing or unclear information
  • Make sound and timely underwriting decisions based on risk factors
  • Maintain records of all decisions and ensure documentation is complete

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 year of experience in Loan Origination and Underwriting
  • Proficient in Pre-Underwriting, Underwriting, or Live Underwriting
  • In-depth knowledge of Capacity, Credit, Cash, and Collateral (4 Cs)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with US mortgage guidelines and lending practices is preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
