The ETL/Data Testing role involves the validation of data pipelines and processes that extract, transform, and load data.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Database and Backend Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in testing large-scale data platforms , including Snowflake , Azure Data Services , and backend services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test plans for ETL processes.
  • Design and implement test strategies for backend systems and data pipelines across Snowflake and cloud environments.
  • Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading for accuracy.
  • Automate ETL testing processes using testing frameworks
  • Perform data comparison and validation using tools like Validatar.
  • Execute SQL-based validations for customized client-specific extracts.
  • Document test cases, results, and defects using standard QA tools.
  • QA Testing experience with good understanding of the STLC - Create test scenarios/test cases, perform reviews and execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)

Qualification:

  • Hands on Experience in ETL Testing & Data Testing
  • Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and DBT
  • Proficiency in Validatar or similar data validation tools.
  • Strong understanding of ELT pipeline testing, data comparison, and validation.
  • Solid SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
  • Strong experience in analysing Requirements
  • Experience of agile/Scaled Agile methodology, processes and tools such as Jira, ALM etc.
