The Role:

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and hands-on Estate Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and smooth functioning of our estate facilities, including residential quarters, admin offices, utilities, and external areas. The Estate Manager will play a key role in vendor management, staff supervision, security oversight, budgeting, and compliance to ensure a safe, clean, and productive workplace.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role requires strong leadership, multitasking, and communication skills to meet the companys operational and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maintenance of all estate facilities (residences, offices, utilities, gardens, and common areas) through preventive schedules and daily checks.
  • Supervise estate staff (housekeeping, gardening, security, maintenance teams), ensuring high performance and discipline.
  • Manage vendor contracts, AMC renewals, and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective and timely services.
  • Oversee security protocols including CCTV, patrols, visitor access, and coordination with external agencies.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost control measures, and expenditure reports for estate operations.
  • Maintain estate records: AMC tracker, maintenance log, visitor logs, utility consumption, and inventory registers.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, audit, and safety standards across the estate.
  • Resolve resident or facility-related issues promptly while maintaining excellent internal communication with HR, Admin, Accounts, and Plant teams.
  • Coordinate events, VIP visits, and guest facility arrangements as required.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical Skills

  • Estate & Facilities Management (preventive maintenance, AMC oversight, utilities).
  • Budgeting, cost control, and procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and civil works.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, email, and Facility Management Systems (if applicable).
  • Inventory and asset management tools (if used).

Soft Skills

  • Strong team leadership and staff management.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written).
  • Vendor negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Attention to detail with strong multitasking ability.
  • Time management under pressure.

Experience

  • 4+ years in Estate / Facility Management (preferably in manufacturing or industrial setup).
  • Prior experience in leading multi-disciplinary staff and vendor management.

Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree in Facilities, Hospitality, Operations, or related fields.

Knowledge

  • Estate operations, infrastructure maintenance, security protocols, budgeting, compliance.

Physical Requirement

  • Ability to conduct daily walkthroughs and inspections across estate areas.
  • Flexibility to handle on-call requirements for emergencies.
