Job Description

Position: Jr. Design Engineer

Experience Required: 1–2 Years

Key Responsibilities:

· Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, sheet metal, weldments using SolidWorks.

· Prepare detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing with correct dimensioning, GD&T, tolerances, and BOMs.

· Understand client inputs and email instructions very well.

· Manage design files and revisions using SolidWorks PDM.

· Ensure designs follow industry standards (ISO, ASME, ANSI).

· Review client requirements and convert them into accurate 3D/2D outputs.

· Support project team by resolving design and documentation issues during fabrication.

· Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to explain concepts and resolve queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

· 1–2 years of hands-on SolidWorks experience.

· Strong knowledge of using SolidWorks PDM.

· Strong knowledge of SolidWorks Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Weldment.

· Expertise in 3D modeling, drafting, and detailing for manufacturing & fabrication drawings.

· Good understanding of GD&T, machining processes, sheet metal operations, and fabrication methods.

· Knowledge of material selection (steel, aluminum, sheet metals, structural sizes, sheet sizes etc.).

· Ability to work with tight deadlines and multiple projects.

· Good communication skills for client-facing interactions.

Added Advantage:

· Exposure to shop floor / production environments.

· Autodesk Inventor knowledge will be added advantage.

· Knowledge of welding symbols, machining standards, and fabrication drawings.

· Experience in preparing presentation drawings for client understanding.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From ₹14,000.00 per month
