Product Engineer

Major Responsibilities

  • Perform product design and drafting using 2D/3D CAD software (CREO, SolidWorks) with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Consistently produce error-free, high-quality drawings and documentation.
  • Prepare P&IDs, detailed drawings, BOMs, and cost estimations based on order specifications and requirements.
  • Review designs and drawings, coordinating with COR teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Possess sound knowledge of steam control products and their applications
  • Ensure compliance with India Boiler Regulations (IBR), ASME, and other relevant standards.
  • Take ownership of the complete product life cycle management for valves, steam traps, pipeline ancillaries, etc.
  • Compile and submit IBR documentation, liaising with regulatory authorities for design approvals.
  • Manage PLM, PDM, and ERP-related activities to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Release approved manufacturing drawings and documents to the operations team.
  • Provide engineering support to operations and quality teams during manufacturing, testing, and validation of product designs.
  • Address technical queries from customers and sales teams on products and applications.
  • Conduct site visits, installation support, failure analysis, and recommend optimum solutions.
  • Actively contribute to new product development initiatives.
  • Manage time effectively while balancing responsibilities across product design and engineering solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • Proficient in Solidworks and CREO
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems.
