Senior Linux System Administrator (5+ years of exp)


• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and their internals


• Proficient in Bash scripting, command-line tools and general

system debugging


• Experience with WHM/cpanel


• Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services


• Understanding of security best practices and experience in

implementing security measures on Linux systems.


• Experience in deploying and maintaining systems running on

cloud solutions (Preferably AWS)


• MySQL server administration


• Solid understanding of SCMs like Git/Subversion


• Experience with LAMP stack


• Mail Server administration


• Install and maintain all server hardware and software systems, as

well as manage server performance and availability


• Maintain all system backups and aid in the restoration of all

operations, as well as give all users with the necessary training


• Create and manage all system tools for all scripts and automation

processes, as well as oversee all capacity planning


• Maintain and monitor all system frameworks, as well as provide

after-hours assistance for all systems and keep up to date on

Linux expertise


• Test all new software, maintain patches for management

services, and conduct audits on all security procedures

Requirements & Skills


• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or

a related field


• 5+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator


• Understanding of VMWare and SAN administration and concepts


• Additional Linux certifications, like RHCE will be viewed favorably
