Job Description QA Python Automation Engineer

Role Summary:

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Python (PyTest/Unittest/Robot Framework).
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks, reusable libraries, and tools.
  • Perform functional, regression, API, UI, and integration testing.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Utilize tools like Selenium, Playwright, Appium for automation.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze results to report defects.
  • Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
  • Contribute to test documentation, test planning, and test reporting.
  • Support performance testing and debugging activities when required.
  • Ensure best QA practices and continuous improvement in automation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2 to 8 years of experience as QA Automation Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience in Python programming and automation frameworks.
  • Strong experience with Selenium / Playwright for web test automation.
  • Good understanding of REST API automation using tools like Postman / Requests / RestAssured (Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of version control (Git).
  • Knowledge of test management tools JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC & Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
