The Senior Cloud Engineer plays a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions exclusively within Microsoft Azure. This role demands deep expertise and knowledge in Azure services and a strong commitment to enforcing enterprise standards through Azure Policy, BICEP templates, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. This role for the person who creates the buttons and processes for others to use via automation whilst maintaining the security of Azure.

The engineer is instrumental in strengthening the organization's security posture by applying best practices across identity and access management, network security, and governance through Azure Policy, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Entra ID, Azure DevOps, and bespoke Azure Dashboards.

The engineer will also be committed to FinOps in Azure and making sure that the business is as fiscally efficient as possible.

Additionally, the role supports and optimizes hybrid virtual desktop environments, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Citrix, ensuring seamless user experiences and operational efficiency. The Senior Cloud Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and manage robust Azure networking architectures, enforce governance, and drive automation initiatives aligned with business and compliance requirements

Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions within Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and automation best practices.
 

Architect and implement Azure cloud solutions

Design and deploy Azure PaaS & IaaS resources, leveraging BICEP templates and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Enforce Azure governance and security

Develop and maintain Azure Policies, manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD

Automate cloud operations

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, automate deployments with PowerShell and BICEP

Optimize hybrid virtual desktop environments

Support and enhance Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Citrix environments for seamless user experience

Manage and monitor Azure networking

Design, implement, and troubleshoot Azure networking architectures, including Software Defined Networking

Incident and capacity management

Diagnose and resolve Azure incidents, monitor service capacity, and plan for scalability and performance

Evaluate and adopt emerging Azure technologies

Assess new Azure features and services, contribute to technology roadmaps and innovation initiatives
 

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure PaaS & IaaS services

• Proficiency with Azure Policy, BICEP, PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code

• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD, and identity management

• Hands-on with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD automation

• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Citrix

• Strong troubleshooting skills in Azure environments

• Understanding of regulated cloud environments and compliance

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure-based solutions in enterprise environments

• Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS & IaaS, PowerShell, BICEP, and automation

• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD, AVD, and Citrix

• Familiarity with ITIL practices; certification desirable

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) highly desirable

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience

• English: Fluent
