Responsibilities
  1. Hydrogeological Analysis & Groundwater Assessment
  • Conduct hydrogeological analysis and assessment to evaluate groundwater conditions. Estimate groundwater rise and its impact on infrastructure and water resources.
  • Analyse hydrogeological investigations, including packer and falling head tests, and assess pumping test data for safe yield estimation and long-term well performance.
  • Perform water budget and mass balance assessments to support water resource planning.
  • Develop three-dimensional (3D) groundwater flow and transport models using MODFLOW, MT3DMS, GMS, FEFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, and/or other relevant software.
  • Has good knowledge of programming languages Python and FlowPy.
  • Develop solute transport modelling for groundwater contamination studies.
  • Utilize GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcMap, ArcScene, ArcPro) for spatial analysis, mapping, and groundwater data visualization.
  1. Dewatering & Drainage System Design
  • Design and review dewatering systems for construction and infrastructure projects, and produce drawings and calculations for subsurface drainage systems to manage groundwater and seepage.
  • Prepare designs, drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for hydrogeological and groundwater control projects.
  • Develop and Review hydrogeological reports, dewatering plans, and groundwater impact assessments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering - water resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrogeological engineering, groundwater modelling, or groundwater control system design.
  • Proficiency in groundwater modelling software (MODFLOW, MT3D, GMS, FEFLOW, etc.).
  • Experience in GIS applications for hydrogeological mapping and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of groundwater control system design and subsurface drainage calculations.
  • Ability to analyze well field data and conduct hydrogeological assessments.
  • Experience in preparing tender documents, BOQs, and technical reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large-scale groundwater management projects.
  • Knowledge of numerical modelling for groundwater flow and solute transport.
  • Familiarity with construction dewatering techniques and hydrogeological site investigations.
