Engineer - Flood Risk Modelling

The core purposes of the role is to support the development team with water related projects focusing primarily on hydrology assessments and hydrodynamic flood modelling using 1D and 2D software platforms.

• To undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling team using the Flood Estimation Handbook and1D and/or 2D flow modelling software platforms.
• To maintain detailed modelling logs of the work undertaken to be included in any modelling reports.
• To support the team leader in producing modelling reports for work completed by the team.

• To participate in regular project briefing with water teams.

• Education - Mtech - Water & Environmental Technology or any relevant degree

• Flood risk modelling, Hydraulic modelling, hydrodynamic flood modelling, Flood Modeler, Tuflow, 1D and 2D flow modelling, UK Water, Mapinfo, Flood modeller, Flood Estimation, QGIS, ArcGIS.
