General Purpose:

  • Architect to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction.
  • Involved in building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations and conservations from the earliest stages right through to completion.
  • The goal is to match organization needs and to produce sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing designs as per category of the town and NY Brand Guidelines.
  • To Analyze and prepare the area statement and to check technical feasibility for business development projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact with in-house departments to discuss project objectives, needs, budget, and the overall look and feel.
  • Prepare and present design proposals, including detailed drawings of finished buildings, renovations, or restorations and BOQs.
  • Interact with the Project Department and consultants to discuss the feasibility of designs.
  • Review local rules and regulations to ensure the construction project falls within all constraints.
  • Review drawings and specifications for architectural projects.
  • Specify the materials needed for the interior execution of projects.
  • Work with computer-aided design software to create hard copies and 3D/2D images.
  • Work with contractors, surveyors, and site engineers to create and coordinate design parameters to bring the designs to fruition.
  • Coordinate work between various contractors, consultants, and internal departments.
  • Visit proposed locations and building sites.
  • Resolve issues that arise during the execution of the project.
  • Participate in project management throughout the execution until the handover of the project.
  • Set the design standards/manuals for the organization, i.e., Superior, Standard, and Economy models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control projects from start to finish to ensure high-quality, innovative, and functional design.
  • Develop revenue-generating designs and ideas, keeping in mind industry needs, building usage, and environmental impact.
  • Produce detailed blueprints and make necessary corrections.
  • Compile project specifications.
  • Design projects to stay within budgets and timelines.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to check project status.
  • Cooperate and liaise with construction consultants.
  • Follow architectural trends and advancements for the betterment of projects.

Training Responsibilities:

  • Understand building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Have excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software available in the industry.
  • Possess strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three-dimensional views.
  • Have visual awareness and an eye for detail.
  • Train for communication and project management skills.
