Software Engineering Manager

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Testing & DevOps Manager to spearhead our quality assurance, test automation, and DevOps initiatives. This pivotal role requires a hands-on leader who can seamlessly integrate testing and deployment processes, fostering a culture of continuous delivery and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong collaborative spirit, working closely with various internal development, business, and operations teams, as well as managing System Integrator (SI) vendor contributions. A deep understanding of SAP HANA and Aveva product integration, including their development, support, and maintenance lifecycles, is essential.Key Responsibilities:

• Testing & Quality Assurance Leadership: Define, implement, and evolve the overall testing strategy, methodologies, and processes (manual and automated) across the enterprise application landscape, with a focus on SAP HANA and Aveva integrated solutions. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of various testing cycles including functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Establish quality gates and metrics to ensure high-quality software releases. Drive a "shift-left" quality approach, embedding testing early into the development lifecycle.
• Test Automation Strategy & Implementation: Architect, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks for complex applications, particularly those involving SAP HANA, Aveva products, and their critical integrations. Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of test automation tools and technologies (e.g. Selenium, SAP CBTA,Tosca, API testing tools, performance testing tools like JMeter/LoadRunner). Ensure seamless integration of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to facilitate Continuous Testing. Monitor and report on test automation coverage and effectiveness.
• DevOps & CI/CD Management: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for application development, testing, and deployment. Champion DevOps best practices including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, automated deployments, and continuous monitoring. Manage and optimize version control systems, build servers, artifact repositories, and deployment orchestration platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild). Ensure adherence to release management policies, security standards, and compliance requirements within the DevOps pipeline.
• Collaborative Engagement & Vendor Management: Act as a central point of contact and bridge for all testing and DevOps activities, fostering strong, collaborative relationships with: Internal Development Teams: Partner to embed quality, testability, and automation from the outset. Business Stakeholders: Translate business requirements into comprehensive test plans and automation strategies. Operations & Infrastructure Teams: Collaborate on environment provisioning, monitoring, incident response, and production support for deployed solutions. Project Managers: Provide accurate estimates, progress reports, and risk assessments for testing and deployment phases. System Integrator (SI) Vendors: Manage, guide, and oversee the testing, test automation, and DevOps contributions of SI partners, ensuring their deliverables align with company standards, quality expectations, and project timelines. This includes reviewing their test strategies, automation scripts, and CI/CD implementations. Facilitate knowledge transfer, training sessions, and workshops to uplift internal capabilities in test automation and DevOps practices.
• SAP HANA & Aveva Integration Expertise: Possess a strong, practical understanding of SAP HANA architecture, data models, development (e.g., ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP), and its integration capabilities. Have a good understanding of Aveva product suite relevant to the industrial gas sector (e.g., PI System, MES, Engineering Design & Operations applications) and their integration points. Demonstrated experience in testing complex integrations between SAP HANA and Aveva products, including data synchronization, API interactions, business process orchestration across systems, and reporting. Familiarity with the full lifecycle of development, support, and maintenance for these integrated enterprise environments.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of test automation engineers, QA specialists, and DevOps engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability within the team. Manage team performance, conduct regular reviews, and support professional growth. ___________________Are you a MATCH? Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in Software Quality Assurance and IT, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role focusing on Test Automation and DevOps. Proven track record of successfully architecting, implementing, and scaling test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines in complex enterprise environments. Essential: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with SAP HANA ecosystems, including its integration patterns and testing methodologies. Essential: Good understanding of Aveva product suite (e.g., PI System, MES) and experience with testing their integration with other enterprise systems, particularly SAP. Proficiency with a variety of testing types (functional, integration, performance, security, UAT, etc.). Hands-on experience with: Test Automation Tools: Selenium, SAP CBTA, Tosca, Postman/Newman, JMeter, LoadRunner, etc. CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild,

Version Control Systems: Git (GitHub, GitLab). Scripting Languages: Python, Groovy, PowerShell, Shell scripting, JavaScript. Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP) and their respective DevOps services is highly desirable. Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (advantageous). Demonstrated experience working effectively with System Integrator (SI) vendors, managing their technical contributions and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and evolving environment. Prior experience in the Industrial Gas, Manufacturing, Process Industry, or a similarly complex engineering-centric sector is highly preferred.
