Fire Fighting Design Engineer

An MEP Fire Fighting Project Manager plans, reviews, and executes fire protection projects, coordinating design (sprinklers, alarms) with architects/engineers, managing budgets/schedules, ensuring code compliance (NFPA, local codes), overseeing site work for quality, leading teams, handling stakeholder communication/reporting, and managing risk for on-time, on-budget delivery of compliant fire safety systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage fire safety projects from start to finish.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.
- Handle procurement of materials and equipment.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present project status reports.
- Ensure quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or related field.
- Certification in Project Management
- Minimum of 5 + years of experience in project management, specifically in MEP fire fighting Design or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
