  • An independent sales advisor is responsible for prospecting and selling products or services, building customer relationships, and meeting sales targets, often with a remote or self-directed work structure.
  • Key duties include identifying leads, explaining product features, negotiating sales terms, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service, both before and after a sale. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and self-management skills, with a valid driver's license often being mandatory. Key responsibilities
  • Sales and customer interaction: Identify and prospect potential customers.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings or presentations with potential and existing clients.
  • Explain product features, benefits, and pricing to customers.
  • Negotiate prices and sales terms to close deals. Process sales transactions and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers. Provide after-sales support and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Business and market knowledge: Achieve and exceed sales targets. Stay updated on industry trends and competitors' products, pricing, and services. Generate leads and build a contact list for potential customers.
  • Administrative and operational: Maintain and update customer records and sales reports.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns.
  • Attend industry events for networking and professional development. Collaborate with the company's management and sales teams.
  • Requirements and qualifications Proven experience in sales or a similar role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel.
  • A high school diploma or GED is typically required.
  • A professional sales certification is often an advantage.
