About the Role

Skill On Tap is seeking a highly experienced Oracle EBS Financial Functional Consultant with over 8 to 15 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Financials modules. This is a remote freelance position suited for consultants who can independently handle functional responsibilities and support tasks for global clients.

The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in Oracle Financials, including GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets, with a proven track record in implementations, upgrades, and support engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the functional support and enhancements for Oracle EBS Financial modules
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Configure Oracle EBS Financial modules and test configurations thoroughly
  • Collaborate with technical developers to support RICEW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows)
  • Support period close activities and help troubleshoot reconciliation and posting issues
  • Provide support for iExpense setup, approval workflows, and integration with AP
  • Assist with training, documentation, and end-user support
  • Analyze and resolve day-to-day operational and functional issues
  • Recommend system improvements and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of functional experience in Oracle EBS Financials

  • In-depth knowledge of key modules:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • iExpense
  • Cash Management (CM)

  • Fixed Assets (FA)

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance business processes

  • Experience in end-to-end implementations and support projects
  • Ability to write and validate functional design documents
  • Familiarity with Oracle R12 and knowledge of multi-org and multi-currency setups
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with both technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Financials certification (optional but a plus)
  • Prior experience working with US-based clients
  • Experience in SLA (Subledger Accounting) configurations
