Brief : The role requires a strong background in mineral processing, project management, leadership skills, oversees all technical aspects of iron ore beneficiation and mineral processing. Proven hands-on experience in beneficiation techniques and process design Expertise in developing flowsheets, ensuring operational efficiency, process simulation to maximize yield and to meet P&L objectives Lead the design and optimization of processes for crushing, screening, cyclones, Jig, Scrubbers, thickeners, and beneficiating iron ore to meet specific grade and recovery targets. Ability to manage technical aspects from a strategic and hands-on perspective, a proactive and detail-oriented approach to identifying and solving process issues
Process Design and Optimization: Interpret mineralogical evaluations of ore and modify/select appropriate beneficiation techniques. Analyze and modify/implement process flowsheets for beneficiation of various iron ore types, including low-grade fines and slimes. Also, assess mass and water balance calculations for the plant to ensure operational efficiency. Validate laboratory experiments and optimize process parameters for separation techniques such as magnetic separation, gravity separation, and flotation etc., Ensure the design of efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable beneficiation processes that meet production and quality targets. Oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of new or upgraded beneficiation projects. Be involved in the commissioning and trials of new process plant equipment.
Strategic Management: Diagnose and resolve/recommend complex process-related issues for improvement Align beneficiation operations with the broader goals of the mining and processing value chain. Analyze and recommend all operational performance using KPIs, troubleshoot issues, to develop corrective actions to optimize recovery, throughput, and efficiency. Knowledge transfer on emerging beneficiation technologies and implement best practices for energy optimization and resource management.
