Job Title: Senior Design Engineer Sheet Metal

Qualifications:

  • Education: BE / ME in Mechanical Engineering
  • Design Tools: Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Core Expertise: Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, materials, and manufacturing principles

Experience: 5 to 10 years

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop sheet metal components as per project requirements
  • Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Interpret client specifications and provide timely updates on project progress
  • Select appropriate materials and ensure designs are fabrication-ready
  • Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure material availability
  • Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback for improvement
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Initiate and review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to resolve issues and implement
