Responsibilitie

s:

1.
Product Design and Development:

- Conceptualize and design drone components or systems.

- Develop detailed engineering designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools.

- Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.

. Prototype Development

:

- Collaborate with the prototyping team to build and test prototypes.

- Iterate on designs based on prototype testing and feedback.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

- Work closely with other departments such as manufacturing, quality control, and testing to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.

Regulatory Compliance

:

- Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards for drone manufacturing.

- Ensure that designs comply with all applicable regulations and safety standards.

Testing and Validation

:

- Develop and implement testing protocols to validate the performance and reliability of drone designs.

- Analyze test data and make necessary design adjustments.

Documentation

:

- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and test reports.

Project Management

:

- Manage individual design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

- Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.

Continuous Learning

- Stay abreast of advancements in drone technology, design methodologies, and engineering practices.

Skills & Additional Requirement

Technical Skills:

CAD Software Proficiency

: Mastery of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools like SolidWorks, or PTC Creo for creating 2D and 3D models.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA):

Understanding of FEA tools (such as ANSYS or Abaqus) to analyze the structural integrity and performance of designs.

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T):

Knowledge of GD&T principles for specifying and tolerance the geometry of parts and assemblies.

Material Selection

: Understanding of material properties and the ability to select appropriate materials for different applications.

Mechanical Analysis:

Ability to perform basic stress, thermal, and vibration analyses to ensure design reliability.

Prototyping and Testing:

Familiarity with prototyping techniques and the ability to design and conduct tests on prototypes.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes:

Understanding of various manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, molding, and additive manufacturing.

Mathematics and Physics:

Strong foundation in applied mathematics and physics for engineering calculations and analysis. 

3D Printing:

Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and their applications in prototyping and manufacturing.
