Description
We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will join a team of talented tech writers who work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.
Job Responsibilities :
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and user guides
Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
Key Skills
Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
Ability to deliver high quality documentation
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Excellent verbal and written skills in English
Experience with producing documentation for software
Experience with version-control tools (e.g., Subversion and BitBucket)
Experience with bug-tracking and issue-sharing tools (Jira, )
Experience with imaging software for screen capturing and illustrating
Experience in Content management systems (e.g. MadCap Flare)
Experience with graphics editing software such as Illustrator, SnagIT, or PaintShop Pro preferred
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information System, Communications, or related technology focused field.
Experience with a technical subject, such as computer science, Web design are a plus.
Experience - 2 or more years of technical writing experience or related discipline.
