About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Vendor Master Data (VMD) Specialist to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, validating, and managing vendor master data within the ERP system to ensure data integrity, compliance, and efficiency across procurement and finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, and maintain vendor master data records in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of vendor data with company policies and global standards.
  • Validate vendor documents (tax details, bank information, address, etc.) in alignment with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and compliance teams to resolve vendor data issues or discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain vendor hierarchies, duplicate checks, and data cleansing activities.
  • Support master data governance processes and contribute to data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Generate and analyze vendor master data reports and dashboards.
  • Assist in VMD-related projects, process enhancements, and system migrations (if applicable).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Vendor Master Data management.
  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and master data governance processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP VMD module, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • Knowledge of vendor onboarding, compliance, and data validation procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high data quality.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in shared services or global data management environments.
  • Understanding of tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.), banking validation, and vendor risk assessments.
  • Exposure to data governance tools and automation initiatives in master data management.
