Role Summary

We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and deep Azure cloud expertise to lead and mature the DevOps practice for SaaS, web, and custom development platforms. The role focuses on CI/CD, infrastructure automation, security, and multi-platform environments, with heavy collaboration across engineering, IT, and business teams.

The ideal candidate can design, build, integrate, and operate end-to-end DevOps solutions, quickly understand development lifecycle needs, and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 6+ years of overall IT experience
  • Strong experience in cloud architecture and design, with 2+ years automating IT administration, processes, or business workflows
  • Azure expertise required, including 3–5 years building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • At least 2 years of scripting experience (PowerShell required)
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based infrastructure
  • Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of code review and security tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, HCL AppScan, Orca Security, or equivalent
  • Experience with static code analysis for quality and security
  • Experience with microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and distributed systems
  • Familiarity with security best practices across the SDLC

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, establish, and continuously improve DevOps practices and standards
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployments, and testing
  • Architect and manage Azure DevOps environments, source control, and branching strategies
  • Integrate build, deployment, and security tools into enterprise pipelines
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform
  • Perform production integrations, hotfixes, and advanced troubleshooting (including code-level debugging)
  • Monitor hosting environments to meet SLAs and project KPIs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve application and infrastructure issues
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards
  • Produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with business stakeholders

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Experience with SCM tools (Git, Azure DevOps/VSTS) and ALM practices
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and Azure Boards
  • Experience with testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, unit testing)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar)
  • Exposure to open-source technologies and cloud services
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to influence without authority, manage priorities, and facilitate virtual meetings
