Job Responsibilities

  1. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
  2. Diagnose eye conditions and vision problems, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
  3. Prescribe corrective eyewear, including glasses and contact lenses, based on patients' needs and prescriptions.
  4. Identify and manage eye diseases and conditions, referring patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary.
  5. Provide vision therapy for patients with specific vision-related issues or visual rehabilitation for those with visual impairments.
  6. Offer advice on proper eye care, nutrition, and lifestyle habits to promote and maintain good eye health.
  7. Fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure comfortable wear and optimal vision correction.
  8. Stay updated with advancements in optometry, new technologies, and treatment methods.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  10. Interact with patients professionally, addressing their concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, when coordinating patient care.
  12. Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health and vision education.
