Job Summary
We are seeking a Linux System Administrator with foundational DevOps knowledge to manage, monitor, and maintain our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will handle server administration, system security, and automation tasks, while collaborating with development and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security.
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and logs using tools like top, vmstat, journalctl, or Grafana.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and backups.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Write and maintain shell scripts (Bash/Python) for automation of repetitive tasks.
Support DevOps workflows, including:
Version control using Git.
- Basic CI/CD pipeline setup (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and basic cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Implement configuration management and infrastructure as code concepts (basic Ansible or Terraform experience is a plus).
- Maintain system documentation, change logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
