Director AI, Innovation and Product Management is responsible for driving the integration of AI technologies into IDS product offerings. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of innovative solutions by leveraging AI, managing product support teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to all emerging products. This position requires to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage AI to enhance product development experience.
About the RoleMajor Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the AI & Product Management team, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence. Identify opportunities for AI integration in product development and create strategies to implement AI-driven solutions that enhance product features and user experiences.
- Manage multiple AI projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Build and execute on agentic transformation goals
- Work closely with other departments, including Applications and Emerging Data Products, Field and Brands teams, to integrate AI solutions into various aspects of the product lifecycle. Bring awareness in the areas of research and development of AI technologies, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends and advancements.
- Foster a culture of innovation and user-centric design, driving engagement and adoption of digital products and services. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align innovation and support efforts with business goals.
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, including product owners and data scientists, to gather insights and ensure UX initiatives meet user and business needs.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to leverage additional expertise and resources, ensuring the latest design trends and technologies are incorporated into product roadmap – UX design, development and adoption.
- Facilitates effective communication and collaboration with DDIT and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical solutions and priorities to address user-reported issues and enhance product functionality
- Ensure a user -centric approach in all innovation and product support activities. Responsible for end-to-end testing of products, ensure thorough user testing and validation of defect resolutions and product updates
- Monitor and measure the product adoption through relevant KPIs and enable the continuous improvement of product adoption. Identify key issues in complex situations, keeping focused on the big picture and adapting and prioritizing during change.
Essential Requirements:
Novartis seeks an individual with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a deep understanding of product life cycle management. The candidate should bring entrepreneurial mind set to ensure team members are fully stimulated, challenged and engaged on delivering high quality work.
Educational Qualifications & Minimum Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, etc.). Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product support, innovation management, hands on experience in agentic transformation or related roles.
- Proven experience in end-to-end development lifecycle of products, from idea to implementation, leveraging agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in relevant technologies and tools used in product support and innovation.
- Drives and execute innovation across the product lifecycle, fostering an environment that encourages the development of groundbreaking solutions that meet evolving market demands and user needs.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities – can lead and develop people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional qualifications are as follows:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a strong focus on developing products in a healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of enabling data-driven decision-making at a senior leadership level, to enhance user experience, drive innovation, and improve overall product operations
- Strong analytical background, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and aligning them with business priorities to drive impactful results.
