TEXTILE DESIGNER for RETAIL BUSINESS

Job Description:

  • Design development of coordinated Bed linen collections for retail markets.
  • Design and sample development.
  • Preparing Presentation boards for Sales meetings.
  • Coordinating with factory / vendors for developments of prints, fabrics, embellishments, and made-up samples.
  • Willing to work on any miscellaneous projects/ tasks given by Head of the Dept .

Requirements:

  • The applicant must be a graduate of Textile Design from NID (preferred) / NIFT
  • Minimum years of work experience in designing Home Textile made-ups in specific Bed linen products.
  • Knowledge of Print Design (INDIAN RETAIL taste), Woven Design and various embellishment techniques is welcome.
  • Past work experience from established retail brands like Ddecor/Portico/Textrade/Spaces will be preferred.
  • Ability to interpret Trends and visualize design concepts.
  • He/she should know Photoshop and working knowledge in any other software will be an added advantage like AI/NED graphics.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

Skillset:

  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each design
  • Receptive to feedbacks & amend designs as required
  • Ensure final designs and layouts are visually appealing

Expectations

  • The designs should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. Need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience
