Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer specialized in designing and developing mechanical systems. The candidate must have hands-on expertise in SolidWorks, Solid Edge, and AutoCAD, along with strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and product development cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, model, and detail machine components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Solid Edge, and AutoCAD.
  • Develop innovative design concepts while ensuring functionality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
  • Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure adherence to design standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement for design validation and improvements.
  • Perform design calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and project specifications.
  • Document design processes and maintain revision control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Solid Edge, and AutoCAD (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of machine design principles, mechanisms, and material selection.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, and drafting practices.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and casting.
