Responsibilities


• Inspect incoming fabrics, trims and embellishment materials for defects, shade variation, GSM, shrinkage and fastness before cutting.


• Verify tech packs, patterns, grading and construction details to ensure accuracy during pre-production.


• Monitor cutting quality with correct grainline, shade merging and clean edges without nicks.


• Check stitching, seam allowance, thread tension, embroidery placement, fusing quality and silhouette balance on production line.


• Conduct fit checks on mannequin/body form to ensure measurements, drape, fall and shoulder balance meet standards.


• Inspect finishing quality including pressing, pleat crispness, absence of stains, shine, burn marks and loose threads.


• Supervise embroidery symmetry, density, Zari/thread quality and durability of stones, pearls, sequins and zardozi.


• Validate placement and quality of trims, hooks, buttons, brooch loops, branding labels and pocket accessories.


• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, record issues and recommend corrective actions to production.


• Perform final AQL inspection and ensure premium packaging, hanger quality, size labels and presentation before dispatch.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong garment construction knowledge.
  • Good eye for detailing & colour coordination.
  • Familiar with ethnic menswear silhouettes.
  • Ability to handle pressure during peak wedding season.
  • Knowledge of AQL & garment testing parameters.

Experience Required

  • 2–5+ years in quality control of ethnic menswear or tailored garments.
