Systems Engineering - Advisor I

:

Production Support Engineer will, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary Production Support team, be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, automating and maintenance of critical enterprise application platforms in production.

Roles:

• Have strong troubleshooting skills and leads the path to root cause identification; makes recommendations for long-term resolution of problems across platform.
• Involve in various change deployments for application enhancements/to fix issues reported by downstream or end users.
• Support in resolution of incidents and problems within the team. Assisting with the resolution of complex incidents. Ensuring that the right problem-solving techniques and processes are applied.
• Recommends strategies for process and monitoring improvement.
• Performs deep dive application review and provide feedback to enhance the quality of application code artifacts.

Candidate Requirements

• Integrated Infrastructure Admin Tasks involving Windows IIS server.
• Good understanding of Web Hosting.
• Server Health check and housekeeping.
• Server Patch Validation, pending patch installation and Server reboot.
• Clearly and precisely communicate complex ideas to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Incident, Problem and Change Management and triaging of issues.
• Release and deployment of S/w.
• Good understanding of batch processing tools like CA7, Control M & AgentRc.
• DR Testing and Support.
• System monitoring enhancements.
• The T2 resource will be added to on call once the person picks up knowledge.
• Good understanding of SQL.
• Hands-on experience on batch and python scripting (nice to have).
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of networking.
• Experience with create and manage windows services.
• Support and maintenance of large-scale production and pre-production infrastructure.
• Building and configuring new windows servers.
• Experience with log parsing technologies like Splunk, etc.
• Experience with tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace or equivalent tools.
• 5 years total engineering, production management and administration or similar experience.
• Bachelors degree or technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must be ready to work in shifts and over weekends whenever required.
