Koantek is looking for an experienced Talend Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize ETL and data integration pipelines using Talend, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks on Azure Cloud. This role offers an opportunity to work on scalable, high-performance data solutions supporting enterprise analytics and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Talend (Open Studio / Enterprise).
  • Build and optimize PySpark workflows and data processing scripts in Databricks.
  • Write, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
  • Integrate and transform large datasets from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files, Azure data services).
  • Deploy and manage Talend jobs within the Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Data Architects and Business Analysts to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation in alignment with business rules.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing ETL processes for performance and reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data mappings, pipelines, and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Talend Data Integration (Open Studio / Enterprise).
  • Strong expertise in PySpark and Databricks for data transformation and large-scale processing.
  • Proficient in SQL with strong query optimization and debugging skills.
  • Solid understanding of ETL design principles, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Experience working on Azure Cloud, including services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Knowledge of integrating APIs, JSON/XML, and flat-file ingestion.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Talend Cloud or Talend Management Console (TMC).
  • Familiarity with Airflow, Kafka, or other orchestration and streaming tools.
  • Scripting experience in Python or Shell for automation tasks.
  • Exposure to DataOps and modern data architecture frameworks.
