The impact you will have in this role 

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions.

The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.

Primary Responsibilities: 

- Architect and leadthe end-to-end modernization of the Corporate Actions application.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilientcloud-native architectures(preferably on AWS).
- Define and implementevent-driven microservicesusing modern messaging platforms (Preferably Kafka).
- Lead the development of amodular web front-endusing modern frameworks (React or Angular).
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Ensure architecture aligns withenterprise standards,compliance, andsecuritybest practices.
- Mentor engineering teams and promoteDevOps,CI/CD, andobservabilitypractices.

Talents Needed for Success: 

- 20+ yearsof experience in enterprise application architecture and solution design.
- Proven expertise incloud platforms(AWS) andcloud-native patterns.
- Strong experience withevent-driven architectures,microservices, anddomain-driven design.
- Deep understanding ofmessaging platforms(Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Experience withworkflow engines(preferably Camunda or Appian) and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency inweb front-end technologies(React, Angular, TypeScript).
- Familiarity withcontainerization(Docker, Kubernetes) andAPI design(REST, GraphQL).
- Knowledge offinancial services, especiallycorporate actions, is a strong plus.
