Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Systems & Processes: Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems (QMS) and quality assurance plans for new and existing crusher products and components.
  • Process Monitoring & Control: Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, implement SPC, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential defects.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality data, identify trends, and prepare detailed reports to recommend corrective actions and drive process improvements.
  • Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities for in-house and field failures, involving methodologies like 8D.
  • Audits & Compliance: Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
  • Supplier Quality: Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and collaborate to resolve quality issues and improve supplier quality.
  • Product Development: Participate in the design and development of new crusher products, ensuring they meet quality requirements and are designed for manufacturability.
  • Mentoring & Training: Provide training and mentorship to junior quality engineers and other team members on quality processes and best practices.
  • Documentation: Review and approve product and process documentation, such as validation protocols and engineering change orders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement efforts by staying updated on industry best practices and technologies and implementing improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of crusher components, manufacturing processes, and quality control principles.
  • Quality Methodologies: In-depth understanding of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), advanced problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D), and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead teams, provide guidance, and mentor junior staff.
