Job Summary

Arula for Autism is seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Editor & Videographer to produce engaging, educational, and high-quality video content for our YouTube channel. This role combines both production and post-production responsibilities, ensuring that every video from concept to final upload effectively communicates our mission to support parents, caregivers, and professionals in the autism community.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production

  • Plan and execute educational video shoots with our content and clinical teams.
  • Operate professional video, lighting, and audio equipment (including lav and boom microphones) to capture clear, high-quality footage.
  • Handle all aspects of pre-production such as storyboarding, scheduling, and preparing shoot equipment.
  • Ensure a consistent visual tone aligned with Arula's brand and educational focus.

Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit long-form educational videos, interviews, and YouTube Shorts from raw footage into coherent, engaging narratives.
  • Perform precise color correction, sound balancing, and noise cleanup for professional-quality output.
  • Add relevant graphics, lower thirds, and on-screen text to highlight key messages and educational takeaways.
  • Optimize videos for YouTube, ensuring correct aspect ratios, metadata, thumbnails, and end screens.
  • Incorporate feedback from creative and clinical teams efficiently to maintain educational accuracy and tone consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Editing Proficiency: Strong command of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Videography Skills: Sound knowledge of camera operations, lighting setups (three-point lighting), and audio recording.
  • Motion Graphics: Ability to create and integrate simple text animations and lower thirds (knowledge of Adobe After Effects preferred).
  • Portfolio Requirement: Must include examples of educational, documentary, or interview-style video work.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for the Mission (Preferred): A genuine interest in autism awareness or special education will be valued.
  • English proficiency is required.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Starting Pay: ₹20,000/month (negotiable based on experience and portfolio)
  • Work Mode: On-site (Matunga, Mumbai)
