- Key responsibilities
- Staff management: Allocate work to laborers, provide training and supervision, and ensure compliance with biosecurity procedures.
- Bird health and welfare:
- Monitor bird health and ensure proper feeding, watering, and lighting.
- Follow and update vaccination schedules accurately.
- Enforce biosecurity measures to maintain flock health.
- Monitor floor, feeding, and drinking space to ensure it meets capacity needs.
- Farm operations and maintenance:
- Oversee daily tasks like egg collection, selection (rejection of cracked eggs), and cleaning.
- Ensure the correct quantity of feed is distributed daily.
- Maintain the required stock of medicines and supplies.
- Perform and coordinate maintenance and repair of farm equipment and facilities.
- Record keeping and reporting:
- Prepare and update daily reports, including stock details, egg production, and feed consumption.
- Keep accurate records related to production, health, and finances.
