Job Description:

We are seeking a technically adept Data Analyst who also excels in data and web service modelling. This role is for someone who can design and model data structures, both for databases and web services, using Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and object modelling techniques. The selected candidate will play a critical role in shaping how data flows through the systems and interfaces, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of logical and physical data models, including conceptualizing and documenting ERDs for relational and dimensional schemas.
• Model and define web service data structures, focusing on object modelling (UML, object-role modelling), and ensuring alignment with system architecture. (Drawing on best practices from modelling methodologies and ORM-style semantics.)
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data architects, and software engineers to interpret requirements and translate them into well-defined data and service models.
• Create source-to-target mappings, metadata documentation, and model-driven specifications for ETL or integration tasks.
• Ensure model accuracy, consistency, and evolvability, support versioning, governance, and team collaboration.
• Optionally, assist in designing reporting layers, defining business rules, and optimizing query performance.
• Proven experience in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical), including ERD design and relational/dimensional modelling.
• Strong command of object-oriented modelling using techniques like UML or Object–Role Modelling (ORM).
• Hands-on experience with modelling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, SAP Power Designer, ER/Studio, Enterprise Architect, etc.
• Familiarity with source-to-target mapping, data lineage, metadata documentation.
• Proficiency in SQL, familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to bridge technical and business perspectives.
