Job Description: Windows System EngineerMandatory Skill Sets:Proficient in managing Windows Server systems.Expertise in designing and applying security measures such as firewalls, antivirus programs, and intrusion detection systems.Responsibilities:Server Management:Oversee the full lifecycle of Windows server systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning.Regularly update and patch servers to ensure system health and minimize vulnerabilities.Access Management:Configure and manage user roles, access permissions, and authentication protocols.Ensure compliance with organizational security policies.System Performance Monitoring:Utilize industry -standard tools to monitor system performance and proactively address issues.Analyze system logs, optimize resource utilization, and fine -tune system settings for maximum efficiency.Security Implementation:Design and enforce security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Perform routine audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement risk mitigation strategies.Incident Response:Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches promptly.Document incidents and ensure lessons learned are applied to improve future security measures.Backup and Disaster Recovery:Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery processes.Regularly test disaster recovery plans, ensuring rapid restoration of systems in emergencies.Automate failover and data protection processes with recovery scripts and tools.Automation and Scripting:Develop, test, and deploy PowerShell or similar script -based solutions for task automation, such as user management and server configurations.Create tools to streamline operational processes and improve system management efficiency.Collaboration and Documentation:Work closely with cross -functional teams, including IT operations and cybersecurity teams.Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures.
