We Are Hiring – Electrical Head (Steel Industry)
Job Purpose:
To lead, plan, and manage all electrical operations, maintenance, and projects in the steel plant, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, energy efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Qualification & Experience:
- Location: Palej, Gujarat
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- 12–20 years of experience in electrical operations & maintenance in a steel industry
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role handling a plant-wide electrical function
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical department, managing engineers, supervisors & technicians
- Ensure smooth O&M of electrical systems (HT/LT distribution, transformers, substations, DG sets, furnaces, rolling mills, EOT cranes & automation)
- Develop preventive & predictive maintenance schedules
- Monitor energy consumption & implement cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards & statutory regulations
- Handle breakdown analysis, corrective & preventive actions
- Execute electrical projects, upgrades & expansions
- Vendor management, spares planning & inventory control
- Train & develop electrical team for skills & safety practices
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in steel plant electrical systems (furnaces, mills, cranes, automation)
- Knowledge of HT/LT systems, substations, PLC/SCADA, and drives
- Excellent leadership & decision-making skills
- Ability to manage large teams & ensure plant efficiency
- Strong focus on safety, compliance & energy efficiency
