Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Lead to own design, build and configuration activities for enterprise applications using
SAP BTP Integration Suite
. As the primary point of contact, you will drive delivery across multiple teams, ensure alignment with business objectives, and champion best practices to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for
    SAP BTP Integration Suite
    and related integration patterns.
  • Lead and manage a team of application engineers: set priorities, drive technical decisions, mentor team members, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Act as the single point of contact for stakeholders across product, infrastructure, middleware, QA, security and operations.
  • Design, architect and implement integration solutions (APIs, adapters, message mappings, integration flows) and ensure they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across landscapes; provide practical, scalable solutions.
  • Plan, monitor and report project progress; identify risks and implement corrective actions to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Facilitate training sessions, code reviews, and best-practice evangelism to raise team capability.
  • Collaborate with architects and delivery managers to define roadmap, estimations and release plans.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance and change-management processes.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-have

  • Minimum
    7.5 years
    hands-on experience working with
    SAP BTP Integration Suite
    (Cloud Integration, API Management, Open Connectors, Integration Advisor, etc.).
  • Strong experience designing and developing integration solutions (iFlows, adapters, mappings, APIs).
  • Solid understanding of application development lifecycle and integration design patterns.
  • Proven ability to lead and make technical decisions for cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD for integration artifacts, and version control.

Good-to-have

  • Experience with other cloud integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services).
  • Familiarity with SAP landscape (S/4HANA, ECC) and on-premise to cloud hybrid integrations.
  • Knowledge of security standards (OAuth2, SAML, JWT), API gateways and monitoring tools.
  • Exposure to containerization, cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS) and DevOps automation.

Qualifications & Behavioral Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (15 years full-time education).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to communicate complex technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and drive delivery in fast-paced environments.
  • Leadership mindset: proactive, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement.
