Position: A/C Technician

Department: Engineering

Reports To: General Manager

Location: Vasco Da Gama

Job Summary:

The A/C Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and servicing of all air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems within the hotel. This role ensures optimal performance of HVAC systems to maintain guest comfort and smooth hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities:1. HVAC Maintenance & Repair

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration units, including VRV/VRF systems, split units, package units, and chillers.
  • Service and maintain cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as per maintenance schedules.
  • Check and level refrigerants, change filters, and clean coils and ducts.

2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, components, or parts using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, sensors, and control units.
  • Ensure all systems operate efficiently with reduced energy consumption.

3. Installation Work

  • Install new A/C units, refrigeration systems, and HVAC components in guest rooms, kitchens, and public areas.
  • Ensure proper mounting, piping, insulation, and electrical connections.
  • Test system functionalities after installation.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all hotel safety guidelines and engineering standards.
  • Ensure environmental compliance related to refrigerant handling (F-gas norms).
  • Maintain and organize EPA/refrigerant logs.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain service records, preventive maintenance schedules, and work logs.
  • Report major repair needs or equipment replacement requirements to the Chief Engineer.
  • Track spare parts consumption and request stock replenishment.

6. Coordination & Guest Service

  • Attend guest room A/C complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Desk for room readiness.
  • Ensure all HVAC systems operate quietly and efficiently to maintain guest comfort.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹18,000.00 per month
