Software Testing Engineer-Level-1

to join our dynamic technology team in
Sholinganallur, Chennai

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    automated test scripts

and frameworks using
Playwright

with
TypeScript (TS)

for web and application testing.
- Execute automated and manual tests to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and integrate testing throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and implement comprehensive
test plans

, test cases, and test strategies.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration of automated tests.
- Participate in all phases of the development process, including design reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Minimum of
    2-3 years

of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field.
- Hands-on expert experience

with the
Playwright

automation framework, specifically using
TypeScript (TS)

.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Familiarity with or working knowledge of
Selenium

(WebDriver).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Desirable Qualifications :

  • Experience with API testing (e.g., using tools like Postman or native Playwright capabilities).
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
