1) Okta IAM Implementation Consultant (Contract – 3 to 4 Months)

2) Location: Remote (preferred overlap with US time zones)

3) Engagement Type: Contract / T&M Basis

4) Duration: 3 to 4 Months (Extendable depends on tasks completion)

5) Reporting To: IT Security / Identity Governance Lead

Project Overview:

1) We are looking for an experienced Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM) Consultant to support a high-impact engagement focused on integrating 100+ SaaS and internal applications into Okta using SAML 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM. The consultant will also review existing integrations, automate user lifecycle workflows, and align access management with Lumos-based access request workflows.

2) This role is critical to establishing a scalable, automated, and compliant identity platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Onboarding & Review

• Integrate new applications into Okta using SAML 2.0, OIDC, SCIM
• Review and optimize existing Okta app configurations (userName templates, sign-on

policies, etc.)

• Implement group-based access control and ensure policy alignment across environments

(Prod, Staging, Preview)

2. User Lifecycle Automation

• Implement Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) automation workflows using Okta and Lumos
• Design and deploy Okta Workflows, inline hooks, and event-based triggers for lifecycle

management

• Enable and tune SCIM provisioning/deprovisioning across connected applications

3. Lumos Integration Support

• Collaborate with app and business owners to streamline Lumos request workflows
• Ensure Okta groups and attributes are aligned with Lumos policies and role mapping
• Support governance initiatives such as access certification, temporary access revocation,

and approval flows

4. Security & Compliance

• Enforce MFA, conditional access, and contextual login rules
• Ensure integrations meet internal ISO/SOC 2 controls and logging requirements
• Work with InfoSec and Compliance teams to validate and report posture

5. Documentation & Handoff

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of app configurations and workflows
• Support UAT and change management processes
• Train internal admins on configuration and automation changes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IAM with a focus on Okta Identity Cloud
• Deep hands-on experience with:

o Okta SAML, OIDC, SCIM integrations

o Okta Workflows and API automation

o Universal Directory and schema extensions

• Experience with Lumos or similar access request/governance platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt,

etc.)

• Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or )
• Familiarity with Okta APIs, Terraform for Okta (desirable)
• Solid understanding of IAM best practices, JML processes, RBAC, and compliance

frameworks (SOC 2, ISO

• Experience with app integrations like Salesforce, Tableau, Workday, NetSuite, Lucidchart,

Zoom, GitHub, and internal custom apps

Preferred Qualifications:

• Okta Certified Consultant / Administrator
• Experience integrating Lumos workflows with Okta
• Background in working with Security/Infra teams in enterprise SaaS environments
• Prior experience in supporting IAM projects with 100+ applications

Tools/Platforms Exposure (Preferred):

• Okta Admin Console, Okta Workflows
• Lumos (Access Governance Platform)
• Slack/Teams for workflow approvals
• GitHub, Terraform, Postman
• ServiceNow or Jira for change management

Deliverables:

• Fully onboarded and updated Okta app catalog (~100+ apps)
• Automated lifecycle workflows for user provisioning/deprovisioning
• Aligned group-based access with Lumos automation
• Documentation, training materials, and change record
