PayrollNinja is a saas provider and software development house. We're looking for a freshie or an experienced Backend Laravel developer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the backend logic of our web applications.

If you have high passion, a fast learner and willing to learn new technology for developing challenging web applications or improving existing ones, let's talk. As a backend Laravel developer, you'll work closely with our team to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.

Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company's needs.

Our team are actively working on plantation based ERP which consists of many modules from operational to accounting. Potential to work on-site (Malaysia) if you've proven skillful.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
  • Write clean code to develop functional web applications.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Perform tests to optimize performance and security.
  • Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
  • Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic.
  • Gather and address technical and design requirements.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Continuously propose system enhancement and implement security patches.
  • Follow emerging technologies.
  • Communicate with client related to system development requirements and progress update.
  • Team Lead will train and make sure standard code practice followed.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a laravel backend developer (minimum 1 year)
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
  • Fluent in scripting languages like PHP, Java, Phyton or (PHP is compulsory)
  • Experience with SQL, MySQL and Oracle database systems (MySQL is compulsory)
  • Familiar with PHP Laravel framework and API integration
  • Familiar with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Version control, such as Git, CVS or SVN
  • Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, Jquery and CSS)
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • High attention to detail
  • Critical thinker and can analyse client documents thoroughly.
  • Excellent communication skills (English is compulsory)
  • Good internet speed and fine working laptop condition is compulsory for remote job.
  • UPS supply during working hours to avoid any power shortage.
