About the Role

We are seeking a talented and versatile Web Designer / Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality websites for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design as well as the technical skills to bring those designs to life. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesWeb Design

  • Create visually appealing website layouts, graphics, and user interfaces.
  • Design responsive web pages for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all web pages.
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams on creative direction.

Web Development

  • Build, update, and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Convert design concepts into functional and interactive web pages.
  • Implement and customize CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, etc.).
  • Ensure websites load quickly, function smoothly, and are optimized for SEO.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Test website functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Maintain website security and perform regular updates/backups.
  • Monitor website analytics and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on the latest design and development trends.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of experience in web design and/or web development.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both design and development work.
  • Proficiency with design tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Strong coding skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (plus jQuery or frameworks is a bonus).
  • Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow.
  • Understanding of responsive design and UX/UI principles.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Bootstrap).
  • Knowledge of PHP or MySQL.
  • Experience with API integrations.
  • Basic graphic design or motion graphics skills.
  • Familiarity with hosting environments and DNS management.
