Key Responsibilities
- Conduct statutory, internal, and tax audits in compliance with professional standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and audit reports.
- Manage bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation processes.
- Handle direct and indirect taxation including preparation of tax returns, compliance, and planning for clients.
- Conduct risk assessments, detect discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Advise clients on business restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions from a financial perspective.
- Ensure adherence to national accounting and taxation laws and keep up with amendments.
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants within the firm.
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in ledgers and accounting systems.
- Prepare trial balances, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
- Handle reconciliations of bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledgers.
- Preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and income tax returns for clients.
- Verify the accuracy of vouchers, invoices, and journal entries.
- Maintain accounts receivable/payable records and monitor outstanding balances.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, working papers, and client correspondences.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable laws.
- Coordinate with auditors, clients, vendors, and governmental bodies as necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Chartered Accountant (CA) – ICAI Member
Experience:
1–5 years (preferably in taxation / audit firm or fin-tech consulting)
Strong knowledge of
GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and Accounting Standards
Proficiency in
Zoho Books, Zoho CRM, Tally, MS Excel, and compliance portals
Excellent communication & client relationship skills
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and deadlines
