Role & responsibilities

  1. Ensure that appropriate systems for successful completion of settlement are put in place in time and are operational

  2. Ensure the proper maintenance of operational parameters to ensure the functioning of the application software responsible for settlements

  3. Ensure that the settlement calendar, for all the futures contracts due to expire each month is prepared and updated on the NCCL website in time

  4. Ensure the maintenance of masters with respect to members, clearing banks, approved banks, custodians, collaterals and physical settlement

  5. Monitor and control the daily operational functions to ensure settlement of all funds, obligation for daily as well as final settlements and coordinate with the clearing banks for this purpose

  6. Keep a check on collaterals provided by the members and ensure that they processed immediately and benefits thereof are provided with minimum possible time delay

  7. Ensure timely preparation of various reports/data requirements  for the Regulator and MIS for management on a timely basis

  8. Ensure that the best practice in the industry is followed in every process and constantly updated to match up changing needs of the market participants

  9. Provide user requirement and business rule (parameters) for the application software in relation to settlement procedure, collateral management system.

  10. Track websites of other Clearing Corporations and keep the latest update

  11. Solve the members queries which are escalated by CSG

  12. Assist in the development of new process/system and participate in Mock trading and system testing

  13. Manage the team and assign tasks to various team members

  14. Train new colleagues
