We are hiring a Payroll Operations & Compliance Specialist to own the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of employee payroll. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a seamless employee experience by delivering error-free payroll, resolving discrepancies efficiently, and maintaining the highest standards of data confidentiality.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Payroll Processing & Accuracy
Manage end-to-end payroll operations across monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly cycles.
Process salaries, overtime, reimbursements, benefits, and statutory deductions with high accuracy.
Validate payroll inputs, employee master data, and exception reports before final payouts.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
Maintain audit-ready payroll documentation and support internal or external audits as required.
Safeguard payroll data and uphold strict confidentiality standards at all times.
Issue Resolution & Employee Support
Investigate and resolve payroll variances, incorrect deductions, or payout discrepancies.
Act as the go-to point of contact for employee payroll-related questions and clarifications.
Communicate payroll information clearly and professionally to employees and HR stakeholders.
Systems & Process Coordination
Work hands-on with payroll systems such as Gusto, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Partner closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll inputs and approvals.
Track payroll timelines, cut-offs, and reporting schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Knowledge
Proven experience in payroll operations, payroll administration, or payroll compliance roles.
Strong working knowledge of payroll taxation, statutory deductions, and labor compliance.
Hands-on experience with payroll tools and systems (Gusto, QuickBooks, or equivalents).
Skills & Mindset
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee data.
Excellent time-management skills and comfort working in deadline-driven environments.
Clear, confident communication skills for employee and stakeholder interactions.
Availability
Candidates available to join immediately or on short notice will be highly preferred.
